Designing and crafting has always been a passion of mine. As a child, I was never far from a pencil and paper, sketching everything from palatial floor plans to quirky comic strips. I was known as the creative one in the family and was always encouraged to follow my artistic path.
Today, my work is inspired by the timeless principles of designers like Carl Hörvik, Gio Ponti, Kaare Klint, and Frank Lloyd Wright, all of whom championed the harmony of form, function, and craftsmanship. I’m also drawn to the refined elegance of the English Regency period and the enduring beauty of Ancient Greek and Roman classicism. While these traditions deeply influence the lines, balance, and proportion in my work, I always bring my own interpretation, reimagining these styles through a contemporary lens to create something uniquely Jelks.
Every piece begins with a conversation. As a one-on-one designer, I work closely with you to understand your needs. From choosing the right wood finish to refining proportions, the process is collaborative and personal.
I proudly work with skilled British manufacturers and local craftsmen to ensure every design is brought to life with care and precision. Together, we’ll create a unique piece that's thoughtfully made, beautifully crafted, and built to last for generations.

My love for visualising and creating designs, particularly furniture, runs deep in my blood, thanks to my family heritage.
I’m a direct descendant of the Jelks family, who owned and operated W. Jelks & Sons, a London-based furniture company that thrived from 1835 to 1958. Both my parents and grandparents still own original Jelks pieces, including a beautiful dining/billiard table that’s been at the heart of many family gatherings, from lively Christmas lunches to spirited games of snooker. It brings me great pride to carry on the Jelks name and legacy through my own designs today.
